Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients on night shift
• Perform thorough patient assessments and prioritize care based on clinical needs
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care plans
• Document patient status and interventions clearly in the electronic health record
• Respond to emergencies and changes in patient condition calmly and effectively
• Mentor and support colleagues, contributing to a positive clinical environment

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse license for the state of New Mexico (compact license accepted if applicable)
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred or will be required based on unit needs
• Previous acute care or facility experience preferred; new grads with strong clinical skills will be considered
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently on night shift
• Ability to pass required background checks and meet facility credentialing standards

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, ASN, or BSN)
• Completion of any facility-required orientation and competency training

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and triage skills
• Medication administration and safety best practices
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate clinical documentation
• Critical thinking and clinical decision-making in fast-paced settings
• Comfort managing IVs, wound care, and common nursing procedures
• Team collaboration, time management, and patient-centered communication
