Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in accordance with facility policies
• Perform thorough patient assessments and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes and escalate concerns promptly
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and handoffs
• Support patient and family education with clear, empathetic communication
• Contribute to a culture of safety, quality improvement and professional practice

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse license (RN or LPN) valid in New Mexico or eligible for state licensure
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• ACLS or other specialty certifications preferred when applicable
• Clinical experience in acute care preferred; new grads with strong clinical training are welcome to discuss opportunities
• Ability to work overnight shifts and function effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Clear clinical judgement, strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, diploma or BSN for RNs; accredited practical nursing program for LPNs)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and IV/infusion knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Skills in patient/family education and discharge planning
• Excellent teamwork, communication and time management
• Ability to prioritize care and respond to clinical changes quickly
