Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, mobility) with compassion and dignity
• Provide safe, person-centered care focused on comfort and independence
• Observe and report changes in residents' condition to the nursing team promptly
• Document care, intake/output, and vital signs accurately and timely
• Support the rehabilitation team and follow care plans to promote resident goals
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Collaborate with the care team and families to create a warm, respectful atmosphere

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) or equivalent per state requirements
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Proof of required immunizations and TB screening as per facility policy
• Background check and clear health screenings as required for placement
• Comfort working with geriatric populations and residents with varying care needs
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of activities of daily living (ADLs) support and safe resident handling
• Familiarity with infection control practices and resident safety standards
• Ability to take and record vital signs and observe clinical changes
• Basic charting and documentation skills (electronic or paper charting)
• Good interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs during shifts
