Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to geriatric residents, supporting dignity and comfort
• Assist with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
• Support mealtime assistance and safe feeding practices as needed
• Document resident care accurately and maintain clear communication with the care team
• Promote a safe, clean and respectful environment tailored to older adults

Qualifications

• Active GNA certification or equivalent in the state where you will work
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain promptly
• Background check, TB test and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
• Comfortable working with older adults and a team-oriented, patient approach
• Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics preferred but new grads are welcome to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an approved GNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of geriatric care principles and dignity-centered practices
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for resident and family interactions
• Basic charting and documentation skills
• Safe patient handling and mobility assistance techniques
• Ability to follow care plans and effectively communicate observations to RNs/LPNs
