Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to assigned patients during the night shift
• Administer medications and document treatments accurately and timely
• Assess patient condition, monitor vital signs, and report changes to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Perform wound care, catheter care, and other skilled nursing procedures as required
• Maintain clear, professional EMR documentation and handoffs for continuity of care
• Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions with empathy

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — eligible to work in New Mexico
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications a plus
• Comfortable working 12+ hour night shifts and able to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Previous long-term care or hospital experience preferred but we welcome motivated travel nurses

Education

• Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent (LPN program completion)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of patient assessment and vital sign monitoring
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Skilled in wound care, IV monitoring basics, and post-op care tasks as applicable
• Proficient with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Excellent clinical judgment, time management, and teamwork abilities
