Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care during overnight shifts, monitoring and documenting patient status
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
• Conduct thorough assessments and report changes in condition to the care team
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and support staff to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record and communicate handoffs effectively
• Support infection control, safety protocols and high standards of clinical practice
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications and discharge instructions
• Step into emergencies with calm, competent clinical response when needed

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license — able to practice in New Mexico
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification (recommended if not already held)
• Clinical experience in acute care or similar settings preferred
• Strong assessment, communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to pass facility credentialing and any required background checks

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program (for LPN) or an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN for RN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration and documentation
• Comfortable performing patient assessments and post-procedure monitoring
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate charting
• Knowledge of infection prevention, safety standards and clinical protocols
• Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to prioritize care and respond effectively in urgent situations
