Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and mobility
• Take and record vital signs and report changes in condition to the clinical team
• Support the rehab team by following care plans and documenting progress
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
• Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families to enhance quality of life
• Collaborate with nurses and therapists to ensure coordinated, person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (required)
• State-required clearance and documentation for caregiving roles
• Comfortable working with older adults and a focus on geriatric care
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• Reliable, professional attitude and a commitment to resident dignity
• BLS/CPR certification preferred where applicable

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent plus completion of a recognized GNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic restorative care
• Ability to take and accurately document vital signs
• Familiarity with basic infection control and safety procedures
• Good observational skills to notice subtle changes in resident condition
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Basic charting and documentation skills
