Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on assigned unit
- Assess and monitor patient condition, intervene appropriately, and escalate when needed
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
- Respond to emergency situations with calm, evidence-based action
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in the charting system
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (LPN candidates may be considered depending on facility needs)
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS preferred or available
- Current immunizations and health screening per facility policy
- Comfortable working night shifts and in fast-paced acute care environments
- Strong communication skills and a team-first mindset
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Completion of an accredited nursing program
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Medication administration and charting accuracy
- Familiarity with common acute care procedures and monitoring
- Ability to prioritize and multitask while maintaining compassionate care
- Effective teamwork and clear handoff communication
- Basic electronic medical record (EMR) navigation and documentation skills
