Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes to nursing staff promptly
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and safe patient handling to promote independence
• Perform accurate, timely documentation in the patient chart and communicate updates with the care team
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection prevention protocols
• Support rehabilitative and restorative care plans under nursing direction
• Build positive relationships with patients and families through clear, kind communication
• Respond calmly and effectively during urgent situations and follow established protocols

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Pennsylvania preferred or eligible to obtain)
• Completion of an approved Certified Nursing Assistant training program
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented attitude
• Reliable transportation and punctuality for assigned shifts

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient hygiene, feeding, and toileting assistance
• Proficient with taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with basic charting and documentation practices
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with nurses and families
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
