Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living with dignity and respect
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff to ensure timely care
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility, practicing proper body mechanics and safety
• Support meal service and dietary needs, ensuring residents are comfortable and nourished
• Document care activities accurately and promptly in the facility record
• Build positive relationships with residents and families, becoming a trusted part of the care team

Qualifications

• Valid State CNA certification required
• Current basic health screenings and immunizations as required by the facility (TB, etc.)
• Ability to pass background check and required facility onboarding
• Comfortable assisting with physical tasks and patient transfers
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
• Travel-friendly attitude and willingness to adapt to a new facility and team

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• State-approved CNA training program completion and active certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding)
• Basic infection control and safety procedures
• Observational skills to notice subtle changes in resident status
• Compassionate bedside manner and ability to build rapport quickly
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate clearly with nursing staff
