Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, person-centered nursing care for residents with Alzheimer’s and dementia
- Administer medications, document treatments, and monitor residents for changes
- Assess and record vital signs, behaviors, and clinical observations accurately
- Implement individualized care plans and adjust interventions in collaboration with the care team
- Support a safe, secure environment in an all-secured dementia care setting
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with families, documenting updates and care decisions
- Collaborate with nursing assistants, unit managers, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes
- Contribute to a warm culture by promoting dignity, comfort, and meaningful engagement for residents
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse license (RN) in good standing — WA license preferred or compact RN if applicable
- Experience or strong interest in Alzheimer’s/Dementia care and working in secured memory care units
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; higher certifications encouraged
- Comfortable with medication administration, documentation, and clinical assessments
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work compassionately with residents and families
- Ability to pass facility-required background checks and health screenings
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred for RNs)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong working knowledge of dementia-related behaviors and best-practice interventions
- Medication management and safe administration practices
- Skilled in assessing changes in condition and escalating concerns appropriately
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
- Infection control practices and basic wound care
- Team collaboration, time management, and patient-centered care planning
