Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults in an acute care setting
• Assess and monitor patient condition, promptly escalating changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Document clinical observations and interventions clearly in the EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and support staff to coordinate excellent care
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge instructions
• Maintain infection control standards and promote a safe environment for patients and staff

Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — RN preferred
• Active nursing license in New Mexico or eligibility for compact licensing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
• Prior acute care or hospital experience preferred
• Ability to work night shift hours and adapt to fast-paced clinical environments
• Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations per facility policy

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma; BSN preferred
• LPN diploma or certificate accepted for LPN roles

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively during high-acuity shifts
• Commitment to patient safety, infection control and regulatory compliance
