Shift Type: Nights (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM), days of week vary by assignment (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric patients, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility)
- Monitor residents’ condition and report changes in behavior or health to the nursing team promptly
- Take and record vital signs accurately and consistently to support care plans
- Maintain clean, safe patient environments and follow infection control procedures
- Document care performed in resident charts and electronic records with attention to detail
- Collaborate with RNs, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to implement person-centered care plans
- Support residents’ dignity and independence by encouraging participation in daily routines
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
- State-specific certification or eligibility to work in Maryland as a nursing assistant
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations/TB testing per facility policy
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric settings is preferred
- Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic bedside manner
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required; GNA certification mandatory
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
- Comfortable with ADL assistance, safe patient transfers, and mobility support
- Ability to accurately take and document vitals and routine observations
- Familiarity with infection control practices and PPE use
- Team player mentality with good time management and prioritization skills
- Basic computer or electronic charting skills for documentation
