Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and feeding
• Monitor and record vital signs and changes in condition with accuracy
• Support mobility and safe transfers while promoting independence
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and resident interactions
• Collaborate respectfully with nursing staff and the interdisciplinary care team
• Follow infection control and facility safety protocols to protect residents

Qualifications

• GNA certification (Class: GNA) required
• Comfort and experience working with geriatric populations preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate resident care
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Knowledge & Skills

• Practical knowledge of geriatric care and common age-related conditions
• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and mobility support
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Familiarity with infection control and safety best practices
• Good observational skills and attention to detail
• Compassionate bedside manner and effective communication with residents and families
