Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living — bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility — with dignity and compassion
• Monitor and document vital signs and changes in condition, communicating concerns to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Provide compassionate emotional support and build meaningful relationships with residents and families
• Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable resident environments, following infection control practices
• Accurately document care in the patient record and participate in shift handoffs to ensure continuity

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — must be active in Pennsylvania or eligible for reciprocity
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
• Comfortable working night shifts and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
• Clear background check and compliance with facility immunization and screening requirements
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and assistance with ADLs
• Basic vital signs measurement and observation skills
• Familiarity with long-term care/rehabilitation workflows and documentation
• Infection control, safety protocols, and proper use of PPE
• Team-oriented communication and the ability to follow care plans
