Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation and repositioning to maintain comfort and prevent injury
• Support infection control practices and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families and the care team to promote person-centered care
• Document care provided in a timely and accurate manner to support continuity and quality

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (must be active or eligible for Pennsylvania registry)
• Previous experience as a CNA preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills are welcome
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on personal care and assistance with ADLs
• Accurate vital sign measurement and basic clinical observation
• Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
• Basic infection prevention and control practices
• Clear documentation and teamwork in a long-term care/skilled nursing setting
