Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing and mobility
• Provide compassionate personal care while preserving dignity and independence
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and positioning to prevent injury
• Document care provided accurately and communicate observations clearly
• Help create a warm, social environment that promotes resident well-being
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in North Carolina required
• Active CPR/BLS certification preferred or obtained upon hire
• Ability to pass facility-required background check and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a resident-centered mindset
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work the assigned evening shift

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic nursing care skills and resident assistance techniques
• Competence in taking and recording vital signs
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
• Familiarity with electronic documentation or willingness to learn
• Teamwork, time management and de-escalation skills
• Compassionate interpersonal skills for interacting with residents and families
