Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs, report changes promptly to nursing staff
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility support
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
• Support a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential — required
• Active eligibility to work in Pennsylvania and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain promptly
• Demonstrated compassion, strong communication skills, and a team-oriented attitude
• Ability to pass background checks, TB screening, and required immunizations

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification (state-specific) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in basic patient care, ADLs, and safe resident handling
• Comfortable taking/recording vital signs and observing clinical changes
• Good documentation practices and familiarity with electronic or paper charting
• Strong interpersonal skills for resident-centered care and family communication
• Time management and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced shift
