Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents and patients, focusing on dignity and comfort
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes promptly to the nursing team
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and adhere to infection control standards
• Document care accurately and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary staff
• Build rapport with residents and families to enhance quality of life and trust

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (PA certification required or eligible)
• Previous experience in long term care or acute care is a plus
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Up-to-date immunizations and willingness to complete facility-mandated health screening
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required; current CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care and basic clinical skills (vital signs, ADL support)
• Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling
• Clear, empathetic communication with patients, families, and team members
• Reliable time management and ability to prioritize tasks during night shift
• Basic electronic charting or EMR experience is helpful
