Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to geriatric residents, supporting daily living activities with dignity
• Assist with bathing, dressing, mobility and meal assistance while promoting independence
• Observe and report changes in resident condition promptly to the nursing team
• Maintain accurate resident records and documentation to ensure continuity of care
• Support safe transfers and fall-prevention protocols to protect residents
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• State GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working with older adults and experienced in basic geriatric care
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited GNA program (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs (activities of daily living)
• Knowledge of infection control and resident safety practices
• Basic documentation and charting skills
• Ability to follow care plans and report clinical concerns
• Compassionate bedside manner and patience with memory-impaired residents
• Good mobility assistance and safe transfer techniques
