Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with ADLs like bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing team promptly
• Support meal service and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dignity and comfort
• Maintain clean and safe resident environments, following infection control procedures
• Document care and observations accurately in resident charts and communicate effectively with the care team
• Build positive relationships with residents and families, offering emotional support and respectful interaction

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — must be active and valid
• State registration or certification as required by Pennsylvania regulations
• Ability to pass background checks and health screenings as required by the facility
• Reliable, caring attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills
• Previous experience in long-term care or a similar setting is preferred but new grads with training are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility support
• Knowledge of basic infection control and safety practices
• Strong observational skills to notice changes in resident condition
• Good verbal communication and teamwork skills
• Basic charting and documentation skills; ability to follow care plans
