Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT scans while following established protocols and safety standards
- Position and coach patients with compassion so imaging is accurate and patient experience is positive
- Operate CT equipment confidently and troubleshoot basic issues to keep the schedule moving
- Document procedures, maintain accurate patient records, and ensure image transfer to PACS
- Follow radiation safety practices and assist in quality assurance tasks to protect patients and staff
- Participate in required competency testing and skills checklists to maintain clinical qualifications
- Collaborate with technologists, radiologists, and clinical teams to optimize patient care
Qualifications
- ARRT-CT certification required
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- State license/certification verification as required by Michigan
- Successful completion of Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist (per facility)
- Required pre-employment health screenings: immunizations, drug screen, fit test, and TB/IGRA
- Comfort working weekend shifts and providing excellent patient care in a fast-paced environment
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent
- ARRT-CT credentialing (certification required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
- Radiation safety and dose optimization techniques
- Experience with PACS and electronic patient documentation
- Patient positioning and intravenous contrast administration fundamentals
- Good communication skills for working with patients of all ages and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to follow protocols, prioritize tasks, and maintain attention to detail
