Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver precise, patient-centered radiation therapy treatments according to prescribed plans
• Perform thorough patient setup, positioning, and immobilization to ensure safe and accurate treatment delivery
• Verify patient identity, treatment parameters, and equipment settings prior to each session
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and the care team to optimize treatment outcomes
• Maintain accurate treatment records and document interventions in the electronic medical record
• Complete required competency testing and checklists such as Trinity Skills and specialty competencies
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and infection control practices to protect patients and staff
• Support patient education and provide compassionate communication throughout the treatment process

Qualifications

• Current state Radiation Therapist license/certification (License/Certificate Verification required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Successful completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing as required
• Willingness to complete required health screenings and immunizations (e.g., TB testing, MMR, COVID-19, Hepatitis B, drug screen, fit test, physical/health statement)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; comfortable working in a multidisciplinary oncology environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of radiation therapy techniques and radiation safety principles
• Proficiency in patient setup, immobilization devices, and accurate positioning
• Familiarity with treatment planning concepts and daily treatment delivery workflows
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and documenting treatment data
• Ability to follow detailed protocols, perform competency testing, and support quality assurance
• Compassionate patient-centered communication and the ability to manage sensitive situations
