Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients, applying best practices and compassion
- Continuously monitor and interpret hemodynamic and respiratory data to guide patient care
- Manage ventilators, invasive lines, and complex medication regimens with precision
- Lead emergency responses and implement ACLS algorithms when every second counts
- Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team
- Complete required Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklists to ensure excellence
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the medical record and support quality initiatives
- Support unit culture by mentoring colleagues and contributing to a positive, patient-centered environment
Qualifications
- Active RN license with ability to verify license/certification (License/Certificate Verification required)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, NIHSS (all required as listed)
- Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty-specific competency testing
- Current immunizations and required health screenings (MMR, Hep B, PPD/IGRA, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza)
- Successful completion of background and drug screening as required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong critical care knowledge: ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, titration of vasoactive drips
- Proficiency with emergency response and ACLS protocols
- Skilled in medication administration and infusion therapy for critically ill patients
- Excellent clinical documentation and familiarity with electronic medical records
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and communicate clearly with patients and families
- Teamwork mindset and willingness to participate in unit-level competency programs
