Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Call schedule: 10-12 days per month; variable hours with on-call coverage (day and night, weekends as needed)
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons and the CVOR team during open heart, lung and vascular procedures with precision and calm
- Prepare and maintain sterile field and instrument trays specific to cardiac and vascular cases
- Anticipate procedural needs and provide instruments and supplies promptly to support smooth case flow
- Perform accurate sponge/instrument counts and documentation to ensure patient safety
- Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklists to maintain high standards
- Collaborate with perioperative staff to ensure efficient turnover and timely patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) required
- Experience with open heart procedures, lung procedures and vascular procedures (demonstrated CVOR experience preferred)
- Ability to complete Trinity Skills Checklist and Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing
- License/certificate verification as required by facility
- Required pre-employment health clearances: MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Tdap, 2-step PPD or IGRA, COVID-19 and influenza vaccination, Trinity 10-panel drug screen, fit test and Trinity color vision
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent (preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of sterile technique and CVOR instrumentation
- Ability to set up specialty cardiac and vascular instrument trays efficiently
- Comfort working in high-acuity operative environments with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in the OR
- Familiarity with surgical counts, documentation, and safety protocols
