Shift Type: Rotating schedule: every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday rotations with weekend makeup shifts for call-ins or RTO that extend over scheduled weekends. Specific start/end times vary by unit and will be provided during scheduling.

Candidate Pay Rate: $58 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate med-surg nursing care to adult patients with professionalism and clinical accuracy
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status and responses to treatment in a timely manner
• Administer medications and treatments according to policy and physician orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
• Participate in Trinity specialty-specific competency testing and maintain required skills checklists
• Provide reliable weekend and holiday coverage as scheduled and support unit staffing needs
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and documentation standards including required health screenings

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (license verification required)
• Med-Surg experience (clinical background in medical-surgical nursing)
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty competency testing as part of onboarding
• Ability to meet required health screenings: 10-panel drug screen, immunizations, fit test, and related health documentation

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong med-surg clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
• Solid documentation and charting practices
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented clinical environment
• Ability to adapt to rotating schedules and provide dependable weekend/holiday coverage
• Familiarity with competency-based testing and specialty checklists
