Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, schedule varies (every other week - EOW, and EOH), 36 hours/week, night/rotating

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency nursing care: triage, assess, stabilize, and treat patients across the life span
- Deliver time-sensitive interventions and use critical thinking to prioritize care in a fast-paced ED
- Document thoroughly and efficiently in Epic EHR to ensure smooth handoffs and accurate records
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, techs, and ancillary services to coordinate patient care
- Lead patient and family education at critical moments to improve outcomes and reduce readmissions
- Participate in unit-based competency testing and skills validation to maintain clinical excellence
- Maintain required certifications and support a culture of safety and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of New York (license/certificate verification required)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- TNCC certification required for trauma-focused emergency care
- Comfortable and experienced using Epic EHR for documentation and order entry
- Willingness to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
- Ability to pass required health screenings: fit test, 2-step PPD or IGRA, 10-panel drug screen, and up-to-date immunizations
- This is a travel/long-term assignment and is not for local applicants; candidate must be 75+ miles from the facility
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong emergency nursing knowledge and trauma assessment skills
- Proficiency with Epic EHR and electronic clinical documentation
- Skilled in airway management, cardiac monitoring, and medication administration in acute settings
- Excellent prioritization, delegation, and time management under pressure
- Clear communication and teamwork in multidisciplinary environments
- Comfortable with rapid decision-making and crisis resource management
