Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality diagnostic images following protocol
• Position patients safely and effectively while ensuring patient comfort and dignity
• Perform pre-scan assessments and verify orders to confirm correct exams
• Adhere to radiation safety practices and infection control procedures at all times
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and clinical staff to support patient care
• Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and log required competencies
• Complete Trinity Skills Checklist and Specialty Specific Competency Testing as required
• Participate in call rotations and holiday coverage as scheduled

Qualifications

• CT certification or relevant CT technologist credential
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Active state radiologic technologist license or ability to obtain licensure (license/certificate verification required)
• Experience with CT imaging; GE scanner experience preferred
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and Trinity specialty competency testing
• Ability to meet facility personal health requirements (COVID-19 vaccination, MMR, Hepatitis B, influenza vaccine, 2-step PPD or IGRA, Varicella, Tdap, fit test)
• Ability to pass Trinity 10 panel drug screen and any required physical/health screening

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
• Familiarity with GE scanner operation and workflow preferred
• Proficient patient positioning and IV contrast administration processes
• Solid understanding of radiation safety and ALARA principles
• Comfortable documenting in electronic medical records and imaging systems
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Ability to manage occasional on-call responsibilities professionally
