Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients comprehensively and create individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help patients regain independence
• Document patient progress and care plans accurately in Epic for continuity and quality
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehab teams to coordinate safe, effective care
• Educate patients and families on home strategies and adaptive equipment to support recovery
• Participate in Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and complete required skills checklists
• Maintain compliance with license verification, immunization, and health/testing requirements

Qualifications

• Active Occupational Therapy license (state licensure required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Experience using Epic for documentation and care coordination
• Ability to successfully complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Must pass required health screenings: Fit Test, color vision check, MMR, Hep B, TB (2-step PPD or IGRA), Varicella, COVID-19 and influenza vaccine, and 10-panel drug screen
• Successful license/certificate verification prior to start

Education

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (MOT/OTD) or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and treatment planning skills
• Proficiency with Epic documentation workflows
• Skilled in therapeutic interventions, ADL training, and adaptive equipment recommendations
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
• Comfort working in an acute/long-term assignment environment with occasional weekend coverage
• Attention to detail for compliance, charting, and competency completion
