Shift Type: Rotating day shifts with call: 12-hour (6:00 AM - 6:30 PM), 10-hour (8:00 AM - 6:30 PM) and 9-hour (9:00 AM - 6:30 PM) options; schedule includes holidays in the call rotation; overnight call approximately every 1-2 weeks; weekend call approximately every 4-5th weekend (rotating, primarily day shifts with periodic overnight/weekend call).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room, ensuring patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgery
• Perform accurate surgical site preparation, sterile technique, and instrument handling to support efficient procedures
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to coordinate patient care and anticipate needs
• Participate in call rotation and respond to overnight and weekend calls as scheduled, delivering calm, competent care during urgent situations
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and perioperative events clearly and promptly in the medical record
• Support unit-based quality improvement and infection control practices to maintain a safe surgical environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (License/Certificate Verification required)
• Operating Room (OR) nursing experience and comfort with perioperative care
• Current BLS certification
• NIHSS certification as listed in the requirements
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Successful fit testing and Trinity color vision verification
• Current immunizations and health screening: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, Influenza vaccine, 2-step PPD or IGRA
• Negative Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen and completed Physical/Health Statement

Knowledge & Skills

• Perioperative nursing principles and sterile technique
• Operating room instrumentation, supplies, and procedural flow
• Patient assessment and hemodynamic monitoring in the surgical setting
• Strong communication and teamwork with surgical and perioperative staff
• Ability to work rotating shifts and respond effectively on call
• Familiarity with documentation standards and electronic medical records
