Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment with precision to capture high-quality diagnostic images
• Screen and prepare patients thoroughly, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the scan
• Position patients and select appropriate imaging protocols to produce clinically useful studies
• Follow MRI safety policies and perform necessary safety checks (including fit testing and screening)
• Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and technologists to support efficient patient flow
• Document procedures, maintain accurate patient records, and complete competency checklists
• Participate in Trinity specialty-specific competency testing and skills checklists to maintain standards
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report technical issues promptly to minimize downtime

Qualifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• License/Certificate Verification as required by facility (per job checklist)
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Ability to pass required health screenings (Fit Test, MMR, Hepatitis B, 2-step PPD or IGRA, Varicella, COVID-19 and Influenza vaccination requirements)
• Successful completion of a 10-panel drug screen and physical/health statement
• Comfortable working extended day shifts and managing a full patient schedule

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong working knowledge of MRI scanners, sequences, and imaging protocols
• Thorough understanding of MRI safety (ferromagnetic screening, implants, contrast considerations)
• Excellent patient communication and positioning skills to ensure image quality and patient comfort
• Ability to troubleshoot common imaging artifacts and suggest protocol adjustments
• Familiarity with documentation, PACS, and maintaining accurate procedural records
• Team collaboration skills to coordinate with radiologists and ancillary staff
• Attention to detail for completing competency testing and compliance checklists
• Time management skills for handling a busy day-shift workload
