Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate diagnostic radiology equipment safely and accurately to capture high-quality images
- Prepare and position patients with care and respect to ensure comfort and proper imaging
- Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain equipment checks for patient and staff safety
- Document procedures and patient information clearly in the medical record
- Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and other clinical team members to support patient care
- Perform required competency checklists and participate in departmental quality improvement
- Maintain infection control practices and complete required health screening and testing
Qualifications
- ARRT certification (registered technologist) or equivalent credential
- BLS certification required
- Epic experience preferred
- Current state license and successful License/Certificate Verification
- Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist as part of competency validation
- Current required health screenings and immunizations: fit test, annual TB questionnaire, COVID-19 vaccine, influenza vaccine, Trinity 10 panel drug screen, color vision, latex allergy questionnaire, MMR, Hepatitis B, 2-step PPD or IGRA, varicella, physical/health statement, Tdap
Education
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program (associate degree or certificate preferred)
- ARRT certification preferred or required as noted above
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of radiographic imaging techniques and positioning
- Radiation safety and ALARA principles
- Familiarity with PACS and imaging workflow; Epic EMR familiarity is a plus
- Excellent patient communication and bedside manner
- Attention to detail for accurate imaging and documentation
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment
