Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT scans with attention to image accuracy and patient safety
- Position and prepare patients compassionately, explaining procedures and addressing concerns
- Operate and troubleshoot CT equipment while following radiation safety protocols
- Administer contrast agents when applicable and monitor patients for reactions per protocol
- Collaborate closely with radiologists, ED staff, and nursing to deliver timely diagnostic imaging
- Maintain accurate documentation in PACS/DICOM and complete required checklists
- Uphold infection control, vaccination, and fit-test requirements to protect patients and peers
- Contribute to a positive night-shift culture by mentoring newer staff and sharing best practices
Qualifications
- Registered CT Technologist required (ARRT registration mandatory)
- Current BLS certification required
- License/certificate verification on file for Idaho (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and site-specific onboarding requirements
- Compliance with health screenings: fit test, 2-step PPD or IGRA, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, COVID-19 and influenza vaccination or documented exemptions
- Minimum prior CT imaging experience preferred — come ready to hit the ground running
Education
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program preferred
- ARRT certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of CT protocols, patient positioning, and radiation safety
- Familiarity with PACS/DICOM workflows and electronic documentation
- Competence in IV contrast administration and monitoring (per facility policy)
- Excellent patient communication and the ability to comfort patients during night shifts
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and prioritize urgent studies
- Team-orientation and clear communication with radiologists and clinical teams
