Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans with accuracy and confidence, following established protocols
- Position and prepare patients for imaging with compassion and clear communication
- Operate CT equipment safely while adhering to radiation safety standards
- Collaborate with radiologists and the clinical team to ensure timely, high-quality imaging
- Maintain detailed, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and coordinate with service teams as needed
- Participate in competency testing and ongoing skills validation to stay sharp
- Support infection control, vaccination and screening requirements to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- ARRT-CT certification (required)
- Current BLS certification (required)
- Active state license/certification as applicable and ability to verify credentials
- Willingness to complete Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklist
- Able to pass required health screenings and immunizations (drug screen, fit test, MMR, Hep B, PPD/IGRA, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 and influenza per facility policy)
- Comfortable working day shifts and participating in every-other-weekend and holiday rotation
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and CT imaging protocols
- Proficiency with CT scanners, image acquisition and reconstruction techniques
- Excellent patient care, communication and positioning skills
- Familiarity with radiation safety principles and ALARA practices
- Ability to document accurately in electronic health record systems
- Teamwork, time management and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment
