Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT scans and diagnostic X-rays, following established protocols
- Operate PACS and Epic for images, documentation, and order management
- Prioritize patient safety and comfort, including proper positioning and radiation safety
- Maintain accurate patient and exam records and complete required competency checklists
- Collaborate with radiologists, nursing staff, and ancillary teams to ensure timely care
- Conduct equipment checks and basic troubleshooting to keep the department running
- Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and ongoing skills validation
Qualifications
- ARRT (CT) certification required or equivalent credential
- BLS certification required
- State radiologic technologist license or eligibility for license verification
- Ability to pass required health screenings: drug screen, fit test, TB/IGRA, immunizations
- Willingness to complete Trinity-specific competency testing and skills checklist
- Comfortable using Epic and PACS in a clinical environment
- Previous experience in CT and radiography is preferred
Education
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related field, or equivalent experience/certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with CT imaging protocols and cross-sectional anatomy
- Experience using PACS for image retrieval, storage, and transmission
- Familiarity with Epic for orders and charting
- Strong infection control and patient safety practices
- Good communication skills and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
- Basic equipment troubleshooting and adherence to QA processes
