Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT scans while following facility protocols and safety standards
- Position patients with care, communicate clearly, and ensure their comfort throughout the procedure
- Operate CT equipment and related imaging systems, optimizing image quality for accurate diagnosis
- Adhere to radiation safety practices and infection control procedures at all times
- Document procedures and patient information accurately in the electronic health record
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and the care team to deliver timely imaging services
- Complete required competency testing and skills checklists as part of ongoing professional practice
Qualifications
- Registered ARRT(CT) — this is required
- Current BLS certification
- License/certificate verification completed and in good standing
- Willingness to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
- Ability to pass required health screenings: fit test, 10-panel drug screen, TB test (2-step PPD or IGRA), and immunization requirements (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza)
- Professional, patient-focused demeanor and strong communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven familiarity with CT protocols and patient positioning
- Understanding of radiation safety principles and ALARA
- Comfortable using PACS and basic imaging software
- Strong clinical judgment for adapting protocols to patient needs
- Good documentation practices and ability to work within an EMR
- Team-oriented approach and ability to collaborate across disciplines
