Shift Type: Rotating 7 days on / 7 days off, Evening/Night shift, 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM (last two nights of the rotation extend to 3:30 AM); every-other-week rotation with every-other-weekend coverage and responsibility for any weekend or holiday that falls during your scheduled 7-day rotation

Roles & Responsibilities

• Dispense and verify medications accurately and safely for inpatient populations
• Perform thorough medication reviews and provide clinical consultation to the care team
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to optimize patient medication therapy
• Maintain accurate documentation in the patient chart and pharmacy records, including use of EPIC when applicable
• Ensure compliance with state pharmacy laws, hospital policies, and controlled substance regulations
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and medication safety programs
• Complete required Trinity skills checklist and maintain required certifications and health screenings

Qualifications

• Indiana State Pharmacist License required
• Current BLS certification required
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Ability to pass Trinity Skills Checklist and license/certificate verification
• Willingness to complete required personal health screenings and vaccinations (fit test, TB screening, COVID-19, influenza, MMR, Hepatitis B, varicella, Tdap, drug screen, color vision, etc.)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently during evening/night rotations

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable using EPIC or similar electronic medical records for medication verification and documentation
• Thorough knowledge of medication safety principles and inpatient pharmacy operations
• Ability to manage controlled substances and adhere to regulatory requirements
• Strong clinical assessment and drug therapy optimization skills
• Good inventory and workflow management under evening/night staffing models
