Shift Type: Rotating shifts, 36 hours/week (every other week and holidays); specific start/end times vary by unit and will be provided upon scheduling
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to laboring patients and newborns
- Monitor maternal and fetal status using fetal heart monitoring and intervene appropriately
- Assist the multidisciplinary team during labor, delivery and immediate postpartum care
- Respond quickly and effectively to obstetric emergencies and escalate when needed
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum care and newborn needs
- Document assessments, interventions and patient progress accurately in the medical record
- Participate in unit competency testing and maintain required clinical skills
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (license verification required)
- Experience in Labor and Delivery / LDRP preferred
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP and AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring
- Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist as required
- Ability to meet facility health requirements (fit test, vaccines, TB screening, drug screen, physical)
Education
- Active RN license required (ADN or BSN acceptable; employer-specific education preferences may apply)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong fetal heart monitoring interpretation and maternal assessment skills
- Skilled in labor support, delivery assistance and postpartum/newborn care
- Excellent clinical judgment in rapidly changing situations
- Effective communication and teamwork with obstetricians, midwives and support staff
- Comfortable with EMR documentation and completing required competency checklists
