Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT examinations while prioritizing patient safety and comfort
• Prepare and position patients accurately for imaging studies and explain procedures in friendly, clear terms
• Operate CT equipment, adjust protocols for optimal image quality, and ensure radiation safety practices are followed
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to support timely diagnoses and patient care
• Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures in the imaging system
• Perform routine equipment checks and report any issues so imaging runs smoothly
• Participate in infection control, quality assurance, and departmental improvement initiatives
• Respond professionally and calmly to urgent imaging requests and emergency situations

Qualifications

• Registered ARRT (CT) — must be current
• BLS (Basic Life Support) — required
• Successful completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and license/certificate verification
• Ability to pass required health screenings: fit test, Trinity 10-panel drug screen, color vision testing
• Up-to-date immunizations as listed: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, and 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon/T-spot)
• Current physical/health statement on file
• Professional, patient-centered bedside manner and strong communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency operating CT scanners and familiarity with cross-sectional anatomy
• Strong understanding of radiation safety and dose optimization
• Skill in patient positioning, venous access assistance when needed, and contrast administration protocols
• Experience with PACS, imaging documentation, and electronic medical records
• Ability to maintain image quality and troubleshoot common technical issues
• Teamwork, critical thinking, and clear communication with clinical staff and radiologists
• Knowledge of infection control and HIPAA confidentiality practices
