Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform clinical laboratory testing accurately and efficiently across assigned modalities
• Follow and document quality control procedures to ensure reliable patient results
• Operate and troubleshoot routine laboratory instrumentation and notify appropriate staff for technical issues
• Maintain clear, timely, and compliant patient and laboratory records
• Participate in required skills validation and competency assessments (Trinity Skills Checklist)
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and occupational health requirements
• Collaborate with nursing and clinical teams to support patient care decisions during night coverage

Qualifications

• MTL or MT (ASCP) required (as stated in job posting)
• Current BLS certification required
• License/certificate verification as required by facility
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and successful verification of competencies
• Must meet occupational health requirements: fit test, Trinity 10-panel drug screen, color vision check, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, influenza vaccine, 2-step PPD or IGRA, Varicella, and physical/health statement
• Willingness to work holiday rotation during scheduled weeks on

Education

• Completion of an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician/Technology program (associate degree or equivalent) or relevant certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on knowledge of clinical lab testing workflows and quality control
• Familiarity with common lab instrumentation and basic troubleshooting
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation
• Ability to work independently overnight and prioritize time-sensitive tasks
• Good communication skills for interacting with clinical teams during night coverage
• Basic computer skills and comfort with lab information systems
