Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality MRI examinations while prioritizing patient comfort and safety
- Prepare patients and obtain relevant histories to ensure accurate imaging and reduce repeats
- Operate MRI equipment and tailor imaging protocols to clinical indications
- Adhere to MRI safety standards and infection control procedures at all times
- Document procedures and maintain accurate patient and imaging records
- Collaborate with radiologists, technologists and clinical staff to deliver timely diagnostic images
- Participate in required competency testing and skills checklists to maintain clinical excellence
Qualifications
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
- License/certificate verification as required by the facility (state credentials)
- Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist as part of onboarding
- Ability to pass required health screenings: fit test, drug screen, color vision, and immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, PPD/IGRA)
- Demonstrated experience operating MRI equipment and following imaging protocols
- Strong patient-care skills and professional documentation habits
Education
- Completion of an accredited MRI or radiologic technology program (Associate degree or equivalent)
- Registry or certification (ARRT or equivalent) preferred when applicable
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of MRI safety principles and patient screening procedures
- Proficiency in patient positioning and MR image acquisition techniques
- Familiarity with PACS and image archiving workflows
- Ability to perform quality control checks and basic equipment troubleshooting
- Clear communication skills and teamwork mindset in a clinical environment
