Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care on a medical-surgical unit every shift
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status, responding quickly to changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments safely and accurately
• Perform skilled nursing tasks including wound care, dressing changes, and post-op care
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to create and execute care plans
• Provide patient and family education to support recovery and safe transitions home
• Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation and report clinical concerns promptly
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies including respirator fit requirements

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (state licensure required)
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Medical-surgical nursing experience; clinical competency demonstrated via Trinity Skills Checklist
• Successful completion of Trinity 10-panel drug screen, physical/health statement, and required immunizations
• Fit test, respirator evaluation, and color vision verification as required by facility
• Ability to pass license/certification verification prior to start

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills in a med-surg setting
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate multidisciplinary care
• Time management and prioritization during busy overnight shifts
• Basic life support and emergency response familiarity
