Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to adult and/or pediatric patients as assigned
• Perform rapid assessments and initiate appropriate interventions in emergencies
• Lead and participate in TNCC and stroke assessments, using NIHSS scoring when indicated
• Administer medications, monitor responses, and document accurately in the medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement and evaluate care plans
• Complete Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklists to maintain high standards
• Maintain infection control practices and meet all required health screenings and immunization standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) credential; License/Certificate Verification required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• TNCC and NIHSS competency or willingness to complete prior to start
• Ability to complete Trinity specialty competency testing and Trinity skills checklist
• Must be able to complete required health screenings including 10 panel drug screen, fit test and immunizations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Experience with trauma and emergency nursing principles
• Skilled in stroke assessment and NIHSS scoring
• Proficiency with ACLS algorithms and resuscitation procedures
• Comfortable with electronic medical records and thorough documentation
• Excellent teamwork, prioritization and time management abilities
