Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform and assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cath lab to support excellent patient outcomes
• Prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique
• Operate and troubleshoot cath lab equipment and monitors during procedures
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists, nurses, and the perioperative team to ensure smooth, timely cases
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Document procedures, interventions, and patient care accurately and timely
• Participate in on-call coverage and be ready to respond for day-shift needs during scheduled on-call periods
• Complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and skills checklists to maintain proficiency

Qualifications

• BLS certification required
• Experience as a Cardiovascular Technician or Cath Lab tech preferred
• Ability to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• License or certification verification as required by facility
• On-call availability as specified (2 days/week; every 3rd week on-call)
• Ability to pass required health screenings and immunizations (Fit test, drug screen, TB/IGRA, vaccines, etc.)

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures and interventional cardiology workflow
• Strong patient monitoring and ECG rhythm recognition skills
• Aseptic and sterile technique for procedural settings
• Proficiency operating cath lab imaging and monitoring equipment
• Clear communication and teamwork skills in high-acuity situations
• Ability to follow protocols, complete accurate documentation, and support quality initiatives
