Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations with accuracy and compassion
- Prioritize patient safety and comfort during overnight imaging encounters
- Collaborate with physicians and the imaging team to ensure timely, actionable results
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation and imaging records
- Participate in Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and complete required skills checklists
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and site-specific procedures
Qualifications
- Current BLS certification (required)
- Valid state license/certification verification as applicable
- Demonstrated skill in ultrasound/sonography (hands-on experience or equivalent training)
- Ability to pass Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
- Must meet health and compliance requirements: fit test, Trinity 10-panel drug screen, required immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella), Tdap, and TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with diagnostic ultrasound equipment and image acquisition
- Strong patient communication and bedside manner during overnight hours
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical judgments at night
- Familiarity with electronic health records and PACS imaging workflows
- Commitment to maintaining competency through ongoing testing and checklists
