Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate CT imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Prepare and position patients safely and compassionately for scans
- Collaborate with radiologists and the care team to ensure imaging meets clinical needs
- Follow radiation safety protocols and maintain strict infection control standards
- Document procedures accurately and complete required checklists like the Trinity Skills Checklist
- Respond to emergent situations using established life support and trauma protocols
Qualifications
- Active CT technologist certification or ARRT (as applicable)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) — required
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) — required
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) — required
- License/certification verification will be completed prior to start
- Completion of required health and screening items: fit test, drug screen, immunizations, and physical/health statement
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven skill operating CT scanners and managing imaging protocols
- Strong patient care and positioning skills, with attention to comfort and safety
- Knowledge of radiation safety and dose optimization
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow trauma and emergency care procedures (TNCC, NRP)
