Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room, focusing on patient safety and positive outcomes
• Prepare the OR, maintain sterile technique, and ensure instruments and supplies are ready for procedures
• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative process and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to coordinate efficient, patient-centered care
• Complete required competency checklists and specialty testing to maintain high clinical standards
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond professionally and promptly when called in

Qualifications

• Current RN license (license/certificate verification required)
• Experience in Operating Room nursing or perioperative environment
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS certification required
• Ability to complete Trinity Skills Checklist and specialty-specific competency testing
• Must meet health requirements including COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, fit testing, hepatitis B, influenza vaccine, PPD or IGRA, varicella, physical/health statement, and Trinity drug screen

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong perioperative knowledge including sterile technique and instrument handling
• Skilled in patient assessment, intraoperative monitoring, and postoperative handoff
• Comfortable working in fast-paced surgical settings and responding to on-call situations
• Ability to complete and document competency testing and comply with facility policies
• Effective communicator and team player in multidisciplinary surgical teams
