Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and prioritize emergency patients quickly and accurately to guide lifesaving care
• Deliver high-quality trauma and emergency nursing interventions per unit protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient patient flow
• Perform focused patient assessments, triage, and continuous reassessment in a fast-paced ED
• Document patient care and clinical findings thoroughly in the electronic health record
• Complete Trinity specialty competency testing and maintain required clinical skills
• Adhere to infection control practices and maintain required immunizations and health screenings

Qualifications

• Active RN license (ability to verify license/certification required)
• BLS and ACLS required
• TNCC and ENCP or PALS required
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Ability to pass Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing, Trinity Skills Checklist, fit test, and 10-panel drug screen
• Current immunizations and health requirements (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, PPD/IGRA) as listed

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Active RN license required; BSN preferred when available

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency department and trauma nursing knowledge
• Excellent patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Triage and rapid decision-making in high-acuity situations
• Familiarity with ED equipment, resuscitation protocols, and trauma workflows
• Clear communication and teamwork under pressure
• Proficiency with clinical documentation and competency-based testing
