Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages with compassion and clinical skill
• Perform rapid assessments, triage, and stabilization of critically ill or injured patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary trauma and ED teams to execute lifesaving interventions
• Administer medications, advanced life support, and pediatric emergency treatments as indicated
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and complete required competency checklists
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and maintain required certifications

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (required)
• Current ACLS certification (required)
• PALS or ENPC certification (listed as required)
• TNCC certification (required)
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• License/Certificate Verification required (facility will confirm credentials)
• Required health clearances and immunizations as listed: Fit test, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, 2-step PPD or IGRA, Varicella, Tdap, physical/health statement, and a 10-panel drug screen

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency Department nursing best practices and trauma care principles
• Rapid assessment, triage, and stabilization skills
• Pediatric emergency care and advanced life support
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making under pressure
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
• Familiarity with competency testing and skills checklists required by the facility
