Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to patients of all ages with compassion and clinical skill
- Perform rapid assessments, triage, and stabilization of critically ill or injured patients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary trauma and ED teams to execute lifesaving interventions
- Administer medications, advanced life support, and pediatric emergency treatments as indicated
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and complete required competency checklists
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement and maintain required certifications
Qualifications
- Current BLS certification (required)
- Current ACLS certification (required)
- PALS or ENPC certification (listed as required)
- TNCC certification (required)
- Level 1 trauma experience preferred
- License/Certificate Verification required (facility will confirm credentials)
- Required health clearances and immunizations as listed: Fit test, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, 2-step PPD or IGRA, Varicella, Tdap, physical/health statement, and a 10-panel drug screen
Knowledge & Skills
- Emergency Department nursing best practices and trauma care principles
- Rapid assessment, triage, and stabilization skills
- Pediatric emergency care and advanced life support
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making under pressure
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
- Familiarity with competency testing and skills checklists required by the facility
