Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, timely emergency nursing care to patients across the lifespan
• Perform rapid assessment and triage to prioritize patient needs in a busy ER
• Implement interventions and administer medications per ACLS/PALS/BLS protocols
• Conduct NIHSS assessments for suspected stroke patients and act on findings
• Collaborate proactively with physicians, techs and the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient flow
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and participate in Trinity competency testing
• Ensure compliance with required health screenings, immunizations and licensure verification

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) credential (license/certificate verification required)
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS
• Emergency nursing experience and comfort working in a fast-paced ER environment
• Ability to complete Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Willingness to complete required personal health history items (fit test, drug screen, immunizations, TB testing, etc.)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency nursing skills and rapid patient assessment
• Proficiency with ACLS/PALS/BLS protocols and emergency interventions
• NIHSS stroke assessment competency
• Trauma-focused skills supported by TNCC training
• Clear communication, teamwork and documentation skills
• Comfort with competency testing and maintaining clinical certifications
